Today, She Is Silent!

My girl is taking the Vow of Silence today... standing in silent solidarity with many young people around the world to raise awareness for children who are denied a voice. I. Am. So. Proud. Of. Her!

I think this is going to be one of the hardest things she has ever done to date! Believe me when I say that she was *born talking*! ;-) Click here to listen to her sing Jesus Loves the Little Children when she was just barely two years old.

She is lending her voice to these children...
:: 300 MILLION children under the age of FIVE live in areas affected by armed conflict.
:: 121 MILLION children worldwide are NOT RECEIVING a formal education, more than half of them are girls.
:: 215 MILLION children are FORCED to work as child labourers.
:: ONE in THREE children in developing countries are malnourished suffering UP TO 160 DAYS of illness each year.

To support her, please visit this link. Because family and friends have given so generously, to date she has raised over 175% of her fundraising goal. Thank you so much!!!

On reading the statistics above, if you have been moved by the plight of these children and are looking for a way to become more involved in making a difference... {especially during this Advent season as we prepare to celebrate Christmas}, please check out the ministry of Compassion International. To be a part in releasing children from poverty in Jesus' name, sponsor a child with Compassion today!
