One Thousand Folds of Blessing

Our family is currently in the Philippines, on our first ever missions immersion trip! Our eyes have been opened, our minds enlightened, our hearts broken by the things that break God's heart... there are truly no words to adequately describe how much of a grace-gift this trip has been to us! (#859)

Today, I am typing this blog post from Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort & Spa, a 5-star resort here on the island of Cebu {where both hubby and I were born and raised}. My aunt has generously gifted our family with a one-night, two-day stay here... for which I am truly, truly thankful! (#860)

I do have to be honest and say that I am having a tough time enjoying the facilities... finding it hard to reconcile this luxury with all the poverty that lies just outside its walls. I don't know how quite to explain this feeling as I've never felt it before... simply put, it is a brand-new awareness and understanding of the things that break God's heart. Even though it has been a tough couple of days for me emotionally, it is a grace-gift! (#861)

We are on the last leg of this trip. As I continue to count grace-gifts, I am awed by the one thousand folds of blessing that God has allowed our family to experience...

Grace-gifts #862 - #897... in thanksgiving of His relentless love, always finding me!
